This document is the extended cookie notice provided under Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the "GDPR") and Article 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC (the "ePrivacy Directive"), implemented in Italy by Article 122 of Legislative Decree no. 196 of 30 June 2003 (the "Privacy Code") and detailed in the Guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools adopted by the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali) on 10 June 2021.
For all other personal data collected through this website, please refer to the privacy policy, of which this notice forms an integral part.
What cookies and tracking technologies are
Cookies are small text files that the websites you visit send to your device, where they are stored and from where they are sent back to the same websites on your next visit. Alongside cookies there are other technologies that store information on your device or access information already stored there: browser storage (local storage and session storage), tracking pixels and web beacons embedded in pages, application SDKs, and active or passive device identification techniques. This notice covers all of them, because Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive applies to any technology that stores information on, or gains access to information already stored in, a user's device.
First-party and third-party cookies
"First-party" cookies are set directly by the operator of the website you are visiting. "Third-party" cookies are set by a different domain, operated by a separate organisation: the website operator has no access to the data those organisations collect in their own infrastructure and does not determine the purposes of that processing.
Technical, analytics and profiling cookies
- Technical cookies are used for the sole purpose of carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or strictly as necessary to provide a service explicitly requested by the user (session handling, authentication, shopping cart, load balancing, security, storing the chosen language and the consent preferences). Under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive and Article 122(1) of the Privacy Code they do not require consent and are therefore always active.
- Analytics cookies measure how the website is used and how pages perform. They are treated as technical cookies, and therefore exempt from consent, only where the conditions set out by the Italian Data Protection Authority in its Guidelines of 10 June 2021 are met: use by the website operator alone, masking of at least the fourth octet of the IP address, production of aggregate statistics only, no combination with other processing and no disclosure to third parties. In all other cases — in particular where the service is provided by a third party that also uses the data for its own purposes — prior consent is required.
- Profiling and marketing cookies build a profile of the user and are used to display advertising consistent with the preferences shown while browsing, to measure the effectiveness of campaigns or to build target audiences. They always require the user's prior, freely given and specific consent.
How this website uses cookies
On your first visit a banner informs you about the cookies and tracking technologies used and lets you express your choices.
Until you have made a choice, no cookie other than technical ones is installed and third-party scripts remain inactive.
- Accept all: every category presented in the banner is enabled.
- Reject: only technical cookies remain active.
- Customise: lets you give or refuse consent separately for each category; no box is pre-ticked.
- Closing the banner with the "X" control: you can continue browsing without any non-technical cookie being installed. Closing the banner does not amount to consent in any form, and the banner is shown again on your next visit.
Consent is freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous, is expressed through an affirmative action and may be withdrawn at any time as easily as it was given (Articles 4(11) and 7 GDPR). Scrolling the page, merely continuing to browse and inactivity are not treated as consent.
A record of your choice is kept, containing the date and time, the categories accepted and refused, the language, the page address, the version of the notice and of the categories presented, and your IP address converted into a non-reversible code. That record, which does not make it possible to identify you, exists solely to demonstrate that consent was validly obtained (Article 7(1) GDPR).
Consent is requested again when the period stated under "How to change or withdraw your preferences" expires, and whenever the categories of technologies presented to users change.
Cookies and tracking technologies used on this website
The table below lists, grouped by category, the cookies and tracking technologies used on this website, together with the organisation that sets them, their purpose and duration, and whether they are first- or third-party. For third-party cookies a link to the relevant provider's own privacy notice is given.
Essential
Required for the website to function. They cannot be disabled.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Party | Privacy notice |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
cmi_lang | CookieMi | Technical entry of the CookieMi banner: it stores the choices the visitor made about cookies so the banner is not shown again on every page. It is the record of consent. | 1 anno | First party | — |
cmi_session | CookieMi | Technical entry of the CookieMi banner: it stores the choices the visitor made about cookies so the banner is not shown again on every page. It is the record of consent. | sessione | First party | — |
The durations shown are those declared when the cookie is set: a cookie may be renewed on each subsequent visit. The list is up to date as of the effective date shown at the end of this document and is reviewed periodically; please report any discrepancy to mail@cookiemi.com.
Third-party cookies and transfers outside the EU
Some of the technologies listed above are set by third-party providers acting either as independent controllers or, where the contract so provides, as processors. The website operator has no access to, and does not determine the purposes of, the data those third parties collect in their own infrastructure: you are therefore encouraged to read their privacy notices, which are linked in the table and summarised below.
As at the effective date of this document no third-party tool is recorded in the website inventory.
Transfers to third countries
Some providers are established outside the European Economic Area, or use infrastructure located outside it. In those cases the transfer takes place only where one of the conditions set out in Chapter V of the GDPR (Articles 44 to 49) is met: an adequacy decision of the European Commission (Article 45) or appropriate safeguards, normally the standard contractual clauses adopted by the Commission (Article 46(2)(c)), supplemented where necessary by additional technical and organisational measures.
You may obtain information about the safeguards in place and, where applicable, a copy of them by writing to mail@cookiemi.com.
How to change or withdraw your preferences
You can change or withdraw your choices at any time, without any formality, by reopening the preferences panel:
The panel can also be reached through the control permanently available on the pages of this website.
Withdrawing consent is free of charge and does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of consent before its withdrawal (Article 7(3) GDPR).
Consent is asked again every 12 months: once that period has elapsed, or when the categories of technologies presented change, the banner is shown again in order to collect a fresh expression of your choice. The record of the choice is kept for 24 months, for the sole purpose of demonstrating the consent given.
After withdrawal the disabled technologies are no longer executed; cookies already stored by third-party providers, however, remain on your device until you delete them as described in the next section.
How to delete cookies from your browser
Regardless of the choices you make on this website, you can at any time inspect, restrict or delete the cookies already stored by changing your browser settings. Up-to-date instructions are published by the respective vendors:
- Google Chrome: support.google.com/chrome/answer/95647
- Mozilla Firefox: support.mozilla.org
- Apple Safari: support.apple.com/guide/safari
- Microsoft Edge: support.microsoft.com/help/4027947
- Opera: help.opera.com/latest/web-preferences
Most browsers also allow third-party cookies to be blocked as a general rule, or browsing data to be cleared automatically on exit. Please note that clearing this website's data also removes the local record of your preferences, so the banner will be shown again on your next visit. Blocking technical cookies indiscriminately may prevent parts of the website from working.
Your rights
In relation to the personal data processed through the cookies and other technologies described above, you may exercise at any time the rights granted by Articles 15 to 22 GDPR, and in particular the right to:
- obtain confirmation as to whether your data are being processed and access to those data (Article 15);
- obtain the rectification of inaccurate data and the completion of incomplete data (Article 16);

- not be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing which produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you (Article 22);
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand (Article 7(3)).
Requests may be sent to mail@cookiemi.com. The controller replies without undue delay and in any event within one month of receipt, a period that may be extended by two further months where necessary, taking into account the complexity and number of the requests (Article 12(3) GDPR).
If you consider that the processing of your data infringes the GDPR you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Article 77), in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, place of work or of the alleged infringement, and the right to an effective judicial remedy (Article 79).
